Hello Everyone,
The current situation surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic has come to impact many people worldwide - we are all in this together. How fortunate we are to have each other to maintain contact through these trying times via this mode of communication to ensure people remain connected, informed, and supported during such an uncertain period of transition. Your continued support and care for each other will be most valuable and appreciated. Let's adhere to local and global health authority's recommendations for social distancing, but don't become isolated or alone. We live in a time when there are many ways to remain in contact. Our being there for each other will be most valuable and ensures people will remain feeling connected during uncertain closures of schools, daycares, community centres, recreation centres, entertainment facilities, places of worship, multiple businesses, etc.
Go for walks, listen to some music, call friends, help neighbours, and utilize our new "Stay Connected" page that links us all to multiple free activity sites and resources online. Bow Cliff Seniors commits itself to help people stay connected during this time of continual challenge.
I extend thanks to our Executive Director, staff, administration, volunteers and Board of Directors for all the extra help and support provided over the last couple of weeks. Bow Cliff has been able to shift from preparing us initially to increase the frequency of sanitization measures, to reorganize programs, to contact members, to cancel multiple events then to finally follow-through with a complete closure of the entire facility until further notice. The new online chatting space will provide a great location to hear from others and keep members connected ongoingly.
I wish all the best to you, your family and friends. Please stay healthy, mindful, positive, and safe. Nobody has to feel alone. I now pass the relay torch forward to encourage everyone to support each other.
I look forward to hearing from many members as more people become familiar and comfortable with this new additional medium of contact.
