This chat is for people to post online resources that are helpful for them in this time. This could include online exercise videos, activities, online tours, and other fun online resources or ideas of how to spend your time.

Here's one: An online fitness video - we hope you all stay active!

    Hi Angela,

    That's Awesome! Thanks!

Here's one to the Glenbow Library + Archives. I could honestly spend hours in here :)

    Stay Well!

A good time to do your "family tree". Go to Legacy Family Tree.ca  to download a free program to enter the information that you know.  Start with yourself and family and work backwards. Then go to the free Family Search.com   site to see if  you can find  new information, probably starting with Grandparents.  You will need to have a password to access the information but it is free. Census and Church records are best and remember to think outside the box for records  of where ancestors were and what they were doing. Have fun with the chase.  Google search sometimes  has info.

Good Morning Angela and Holly.  So, with the new Chat page are comments going to be deleted daily?  Is there space for only a certain number of posted notes, correspondence, or conversation each day.  Or will recorded notes remain posted for a specific time-frame like a week?

We only started to use this mode of communication yesterday, and it appears that chat notes listed yesterday have already either been deleted, lost, or archived somewhere.  It is not clear yet how this mode of communication will be monitored, posted, and for what duration.  Can only a certain number of notes be displayed each day and remain posted for a specific time duration?  Thanks,  Dan

    Good morning all.

Thank you for your question Dan. There are two chat forums - one titled "Checking-in" and the other titled "Resources and Activities". Each has a different chat stream. I saw your last message on the "Checking-in" Forum, and it is still there.

If we run into further problems, I will be sure to find ways to troubleshoot as we go.

I hope you are all staying healthy and connected!

    Hi Angela,

Thanks for the update regarding the different Chat Streams.  I apologize that I was not yet aware of the 'Checking-in" forum versus the "Resources and Activities".  Now that I realize the "Checking-in" page will retain postings, I will not duplicate messages to be sent through different modes or lose track of what I have already responded to earlier.   I will be engaged in a learning curve and will get lots of practice in becoming familiar with a multitude of different modes and mediums of IT resources. Good morning to anyone on this site. I hope you are doing well. May I share an insight I discovered late last evening about the common words..."lost for words"' if you rearrange the letters one can find the letters "world fools flood Dr's." i think of the COVID 19 virus in reference to human actions. Mayor Nenshi had some good words to be mindful of although I don't know them all. Does anyone else know what they are?

Sent March 19. Of interest or agreement to members or not: I have a friend who is an astrology buff. His knowledge amuses me sometimes, although I think of it quite seriously too at times. I just wish more people or schools would understand his interest views better so we could all learn more about ourselves, our families and relationships in general. He just told me that Donald Trump , Boris Johnston and the president of China, Xi, are all Gemini's. He says that Putin of Russia is a Libra and that his sign is compatible with the others. Justin Trudeau is a a Capricorn in case you were wondering! He knows Korea's and Japans leader signs too, etc. We each have our own interests or gifts in this world and how it all does or does not work together!! Donna
