A Message from our Executive Director

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Ward 6 forum that we hosted on October 3^rd. Congratulations to John Pantazopoulos who was elected Ward 6 Councillor. Thank you also to Joanne Birce, Inam Teja and Jeff Watson for your well-run campaigns. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors. We look forward to working with our new Councillor to help minimize social isolation of seniors and to support Bow Cliff’s mission to remain a social engagement centre of excellence for active aging in SW Calgary.

Thank you to Wellings of Calgary who hosted our Hilda Townsend Memorial Tournament on October 18^th and thank you to the 56 participants who supported our annual event.

Bow Cliff is turning 50 soon. We will be hosting numerous events throughout the next 12 months celebrating our special anniversary. Tickets are on sale for our special 50^th Anniversary Gala Reception on Thursday November 20, 2025. Tickets are $75 for Members/Super Members and $100 for Non-Members. Included in the ticket are 2 beverages, appetizers and a $50 tax receipt. As a fundraiser event, we will also have a silent auction. Thank you to all the Partners and Donors who are supporting this celebration.

As part of our 50^th Anniversary celebration, we will be hosting a special Christmas luncheon for our members on December 17^th. Tickets will go on sale in mid-November.

Saturday December 6^th is our Christmas bake sale. We need your help donating baked goods for this annual fundraiser. Contact the office for more details for the Reception, Christmas Bake Sale and Christmas Luncheon.

Thank you to everyone who will be joining us on our 50^th anniversary cruise in February 2026.

As we approach our year end, I just want to say a special thank you to all our volunteers. Your time and support are what makes Bow Cliff so special.
